To date we have four custom built scanning confocal optical microscopes with single molecule sensitivity. Three of them are laser scanning style and one employs sample scanning.
Setup 1
- Laser scanning confocal microscope
- Microscope body based
- x-y manual translation stage for cell imaging
- Manual focussing
- CW and pulsed (picosecond) excitation
- 2 Detectors
- FC(C)S
- TIRF with camera option
Setup 2
- Sample scanning confocal microscope
- x, y, and z (focus) piezo with nm precision and 100 µm travel
- CW and pulsed (picosecond or nanosecond) excitation
- Up to 4 detectors
